In Loving Memory of Livia Stoyke
Livia Stoyke was actively involved in the field of Visual
Communications for over 11 years and was Creative Director and
one of the three founding principals of Redengine Inc.
Livia's life was cut short in a whitewater kayaking accident on
June 15, 2002 but her memory lives on in those she touched and
through www.livia.ca.
A year later, www.livia.ca was created. A close group of
friends and coworkers collaborated in quiet conversation to put
together a memory book in which her colleauges stated, "we're not
sure whose idea it was; just that it was an idea that we had to be
a part of...we needed livia.ca."
Those who shared their thoughts and feelings somehow needed www.livia.ca too -
they needed to express their grief and sadness, share their fond
memories and even say a personal goodbye. Childhood friends,
acquaintances, coworkers, and family placed their messages on the
website - adding to the emotional outpouring. It helped people
mourn Livia. It helped people remember Livia.

Today, the website serves as a place where the Livia Stoyke
Foundation continues her passion for creativity, artwork,
adventure, equality and, above all, her love of
life and people. Livia's contributions to Redengine remain palpable
today - and we remain encouraged and inspired by her foundation's
achievements. We remember Livia!
