Edmonton International Airport (EIA)

The Edmonton International Airport (EIA) came to Redengine looking for a new solution that would serve as a foundation for their corporate, English and French versions of the www.flyeia.com website. They wanted a platform that was easy to manage and one that would offer additional functionality.

Redengine began by performing research to identify the gaps of their former system as well as the opportunities that could be achieved through the transition of their website. Ensuring a clear understanding at the beginning of the project is important and, upon review of their wish list, our team began developing the site using Umbraco.

The Umbraco solution offers Edmonton International Airport (EIA) staff extended banner management functionality throughout their site, improved English to French conversions, flexibility to change the headers, create new categories, etc. In addition, we were able to provide some custom development in converting their arrival and departure piece so timely information is readily available to users of their site.

The staff of Edmonton International Airport (EIA) seem very pleased with the seamless content management functionality of Umbraco and the resulting website. They were also pleased that some long desired features could be accommodated in the transition to the Umbraco content management platform.

An added bonus to the transition was that, prior to launch, Umbraco allowed them to completely overhaul their website's information architecture - a task they'd wanted to accomplish for some time but felt uncomfortable performing using their former platform. This site was deployed quickly and now provides an improved experience for staff and online audiences alike.

"EIA has greatly benefited from the outstanding expertise, customer service and tools that Redengine has made available to our demanding communications environment. We liked our first experience with our external website so much, we are now engaging the Redengine team to help us evolve our intranet."
