Continuing to engage the curious, cooperative and cross platform nature of today's interactive kids is a growing challenge for educators. While the curriculums of today may have only modestly changed over time, educators are challenged to deliver learning modules to audiences in new and competitive ways.

The emergence of episodic and experiential learning modules represents a promising delivery method, which will also benefit corporate or organizational learning as well. In fact, this format has become particularly useful where capability must be measured prior to advancement.

Redengine leveraged its technology and expertise to deliver a unique learning platform that incorporates content delivery and collaboration within an imaginary world.

The Central Institute for Exploration (CIE) represents a content-specific implementation of a highly interactive e-learning platform. This mixed reality, spy-fi series titled the Central Institute for Exploration (CIE) blends episodic and interactive storytelling, social gaming and real world exhibits to engage youngsters in exploring history and science. The series engages today's interactive kids through the tales of a secret, time-traveling agency blurring the lines between entertainment and learning.

Redengine provided its technical development expertise to deliver a truly revolutionary platform for delivering experiential learning.

Kids between the ages of 8 and 12 become engaged in an interactive story and an online community. Working together they are charged to unravel a series of clues and puzzles through interactive online missions and participation in social elements of the website.

The solution blends technology, science, real-world locations and packages an alternate reality learning experience to captivate audiences. The project was voted "Most Viable Property" at the Annual KidScreen Summit in New York in 2007 and 2008.
